@janetlansbury I’m doing better now, thank you. Had been under a lot of social and financial pressure b’coz I chose to put off career for time with my kids. Worth it, but it’s tough. That’s the one! “Even though I knew objectively that she was out of line, I bought into the letter…”

@janetlansbury Hey Janet, do you remember you wrote about how someone had been unfair and hurt you, and your daughter read the letter and said you should feel angry? That story is stuck in my mind and yesterday something happened that made me want to re-read it! But can’t find it

Michael Crichton in Jurassic Park wrote about how research had been shifted from slow moving academia to private companies, but in Emperor of All Maladies, I learned that Genentech abandoned cancer drug research to focus of easier, more profitable drugs.
