@fluidkey I have USDT I need to withdraw from a CEX but I don’t see USDT on Base. Does it mean it’ll get lost if I have Base as active in fluidkey?

Personally, I want to do something about all the unpaid care work women do everyday. Due to health issues in the family, I’ve been a stay home dad to my kids, so this is an issue that I can understand.

unpaid care work, which McKinsey estimates contributes $10 TRILLION to annual global GDP! That’s the market cap of Apple, Microsoft and Amazon combined!

“The work that mainly women do, mainly unpaid, is not an optional extra. This is work that society needs to get done.”

In reply to @nicwn

Here’s an idea. How about we pay women for their unpaid work? And let’s face it, let’s not undervalue it and pay their true value!

Bankers in the current system will never do that. We’ll need to build a new system, and Circles could be just the tool for it!

What do you think?

In reply to @nicwn

Circles is one of these social dollar experiments. Created by a passionate team from Germany, this is their moonshot at fixing the current broken systems - not with VC funded Technofeudalism, but community-driven trust networks where money is mutual, not extractive.

In reply to @nicwn

Imagine you spent $10 and labor to make a knife and sell it for 20 Circles. Imagine others similarly sell their work for Circles.

Now imagine the whole community grew potatoes and sold to the next town for $600 and that $600 goes into the community chest.

In reply to @nicwn

Quite quickly, a Dollar : Circles exchange rate will be made programmatically.

You can buy and sell most things within your community with Circles, and when you need dollars, you can exchange it from the community chest.

We can break free from Wage Slavery!

In reply to @nicwn

Circles is preparing to launch an incubation program meant to support - both financially and otherwise - entrepreneurs, builders and communities to pilot different use cases and applications that utilize the Circles protocol.

Governments are relegated to paying for R&D and bailing out the private sector, while the private sector reap all the rewards. This is how America minted more billionaires in the last 20 years than in the Roaring ’20s!

  1. Tax on things that harm the commons (e.g. CO2 emitting) - Also no, corporations are not paying taxes!

  2. Capturing value from money creation. Private banks have been creating money out of thin air. - HERE IS THE ANSWER! FUCK THE BANKERS!

We can create money! A social dollar!

But first, if you believe that the capitalist system has extract and exhausted almost all of Earth’s resources; that we’re out of time and urgently need to move to a fairer system, I want to hear from you. 🤙🏼

In her book “The Value of Everything”, Mariana Mazzucato laid out the main problems of the current capitalistic system - the narrative that value is created by the “sterile” class (the bankers) rather than the working class;

In reply to @rcbregman

@rcbregman @PDubonnet Swedish women went on strike for ONE day in the 70’s, whole country grind to a halt. Now they have 3 months MANDATORY leave for fathers. This led to men taking leaves, led to higher unpaid work shared by men, led to higher lifetime earnings for women coz men help out more at home

You’ll still need to know some blockchain basics tho, I’m happy to help clear things up.
