The luckiest thing after I got the COVID had to be how my wife and kids didn’t get any symptoms! Especially my wife, I was really worried for her, but she took care of me & the kids without skipping a beat the whole 2 weeks!

@yurikageyama And it broke my heart to learn in academia about how in the US, little girls grow up happy and confident until they reach middle school and then culture / social pressure change them to feel dumb and fill with self doubt. So yeah, I feel for you too.
@yurikageyama This is the top reason why I had never considered living in Japan after I had kids. I didn’t want my future daughter (and son!) to grow up thinking women need to be subservient to men.
